Client:HVAC & facilities service company (NDA)
Duration10 weeks
ScopeMVP product design and front-end build of the dispatcher Dispatch Board and single-job work order, plus a technician mobile app, backed by a skills-and-proximity dispatch engine and a route optimizer.

01In brief

If you read one part of this page, read these 4 lines.

  • Auto-dispatches the best-qualified technician on skills, proximity, parts and SLA in the same instant
  • Optimizes each technician's route live, so the day survives contact with real emergencies
  • Tracks first-time-fix, response time and SLA countdowns across the whole book of jobs
  • Every assignment carries an explainable match score, not a black-box dispatch decision
02Overview

What it does — and which part of it we built.

FieldRoute gives a field-service operation one live command centre for the whole day.

It captures every service call with its site, asset and fault, then matches the job to the best-qualified technician on skills, live location, parts on hand and the SLA clock — auto-dispatching the best fit or handing the dispatcher a ranked shortlist. BuildspaceLabs designed and built the MVP front end — a real-time Dispatch Board for the whole book of jobs and a per-job work order for the dispatcher assigning the next emergency — plus a technician mobile app that carries the route, parts list and photo proof-of-service into the field.

The captions say what you are looking at. Every name and record on them is sample data.

04Outcomes

What the engagement left the client with.

  • Delivered a production-quality MVP of the Dispatch Board, work order and technician mobile app in a 10-week engagement
  • Consolidated dispatch, routing, parts and proof-of-service into a single operations surface
  • Gave dispatchers a live, SLA-aware view of every job, technician and route across the region
  • Established a reusable design system (priority pills, SLA countdowns, route maps, match cards) for the product's next surfaces
05How it is built

The stack was picked per constraint, not per house habit.

7 technologies across 3 layers — the shape of the stack follows the problem.
